Sunday, August 28, 2011 As Hurricane Irene battered the east coast Yoe Fire Company crews handled many storm related calls. Starting at 23:30 crews handled 11 calls. The calls ranged from Trees down to reported structure fires. Yoe averaged 14 firefighters per call for the duration of the storm. ATR team members were also standing by in station ready to respond to any water rescue calls.
